I am sure this time has been difficult for many and my thoughts and prayers go out to those of you who have been personally effected by the Covid-19. I have been fortunate to live in a county that has had one case, but even that is one too many.
I began this year saying that I wanted to plein air as much as possible. For those who may need a definition, it is French for painting in the outdoor daylight; starting it there and finishing it there. Painting in the open air. I have been able to get a great many in. Any county road leads one to the most wonderful scenes, waiting to be captured. There is something about painting in the space one is recording. I can tell you that the songs of the birds in early mornings are amazing. Evening sunsets call to me daily. Skies with clouds and now that summer has hit Central Texas, skies with no clouds; but all beautiful.
Please stay safe, wear the mask, think of others.
Galleries, like all other venues, are suffering, please go online to the many gallery websites and bring a new piece of art into your life.
