This year, as others, has had it highs an lows, but through it all I paint. We had a summer not to be forgotten with temperatures into 110+ degrees. But, if you get up early there were still landscapes to be painted.
I was thrilled to give demos in Comanche and Brownwood to other artists. The photo above is from my demo in Comanche for the Art Guild. Support your local artists and art societies and think about joining. You will be glad you did.
My painting As the Summer Burns on was chosen as the Priscilla Fowler Gallery (Las Vegas, Nevada) pick form the Orange Show for the Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada. What a thrill.
Christmas is around the corner so think about investing in art as gifts. I treated myself to two new artists this year and daily as I pass them I am so glad I did.
On Instagram I will be showing Christmas inspired small pieces that will be selling for $50 including the shipping. Check me out there: @juliafletcherpastels.
I hope your year has been one of fond memories. Enjoy the holidays as we move into 2024.
