Pastels

I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Texas-Austin, but the majority of my education has been after that. For me the landscape offers so many variations of color and texture. One can paint a scene at 8 am and throughout the day it is in constant change. I am drawn the light, as so many artists are, and its power to create mood.  There exists a constant pull of the landscape to tell its story and I love being the storyteller.  I am a member of Central Texas Pastel Society, Austin Pastel Society,  , the Pastel Society of  New Mexico, and The American Impressionist Society. I am honored to be a  Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and a member of the Master Circle in the International Association for Pastel Societies.
