Julia Fletcher Fine Art

The painting above, painted during my Art Residency at Ghost Ranch this year,  will be in the 41st Annual Bcsque Art  Classic in Clifton, TX. The show opens to the public on September 12, 2026 and I hope to see to you there. It is an immense honor to be included in this well known, and revered, art show. Add to that, a week later I am in the 40th Annual Trappings of Texas Show, in Alpine, TX.  I am very excited to have paintings from my Big Bend National Part Residency in this show.  The Southwest is dear to my heart and both shows will showcase paintings from Texas and New Mexico.

Talk about fun, Liz Bartlett Culp, a truly wonderful oil painter, hosts a retreat in the Fort Davis/Alpine TX area in the late part of the year each year. One glorious week of painting, hob-nobbing with friends, painting, eating, painting and truly enjoying an area of Texas that changes from the high desert to mountains in a 10 minute drive. If anyone reading this is interested in going next year please let me know and I will forward your information to LIz. Thank you Liz!!

I also went to Albuequerque to receive my Master Circle Award at the 12th Annual International Association of Pastel Societies. That was truly thrilling. It is such an honor to be recognized by those I admire in the pastel world.

I am also truly honored to be in the Pastel Society of America's 54th Enduring Brilliance Show. The Show is in the National Arts Gallery, NYC and runs from September 8 -24. I had hoped to get to it, but will not be able to....let's hope for next year.

I will be ending the year of painting trips in October when I go to join a workshop by Lorenzo Chavez in the Palo Duro Canyon. This has become an annual trip to paint beside a truly wonderful artist.

The painting above is MC. He came to us many years ago as a baby who lost his mother. He pretty much rules the place in a very gentle manner. MC is the most painted animal on our property. If he see me out painting he meanders over to make sure he lands in one more painting.

Remember, art is forever. Thank you for supporting this artist. I cannot fully express my gratitude.
